Raising awareness of safeguarding across the school is an important first step in the keeping children safe. It is important that everyone in the school knows how to raise a concern, whether they are an adult or a child. Making information available is another way that the school shows unsuitable people that safeguarding is treated seriously.
Whilst public displays of information are important, using discrete or private places, like toilet cubicles, can allow children the space to take down the details of helplines or places to go for specific support.
This set of posters helps raise awareness in a clear way, particularly the one with space for photographs. Some schools have not only printed the posters at A4 size, but as postcards that they give to all adults when they sign in. These posters are available as .pdfs, they are also available to Safeguarding.Pro members as .jpgs for inserting into a Word document or imaging software like Photoshop, for customising for your school.
